City of Lights?

We need to get the hell out of this whole business.

By extraditing Altaf Hussain.

No, he cannot be deported. He is a British Citizen. That is a fact. He was granted that nationality by the last Conservative Government.

But he can be extradited. A judicial rather than a political decision, and thank goodness for that. So, over to the judiciary.

And the MQM can be banned in this country. That is a political decision.

Both of those things can and should happen. Indeed, they ought to have happened a long time ago.

That India is funding the MQM is a striking reminder that India is now run by people who really do believe in this thing, Bharat.

There were many movements for Indian independence, each with heirs and successors on today's Subcontinent. We forget that. We can no longer afford to do so.

For a start, Altaf Hussain must go, and the terrorist MQM must be proscribed.

All candidates for Labour Leader, both candidates for Liberal Democrat Leader, and all putative candidates for Mayor of London, must demand at least the latter, which the Government could do on the spot.

  1. Against Altaf Hussain and the MQM, for the Dalitsak, for the Rohingya, for the Chagossians, for Ascension Island, for the Russian and other minorities in the Baltic, for the Christians in the Middle East, you have been doing them all for 20 years, you have a unique position in this country and Parliament is incomplete without you.

    1. You are far too kind. I had been hoping that George Galloway, valiant in all of these causes apart from (to the best of my knowledge), Ascension Island, might have snatched a Tory or Lib Dem seat in the first by-election of this Parliament. But no.
