Red, Orange, Green?

Never will be seen.

The Irish Labour Party has approved some scheme to stand in Northern Ireland, not for the first time, but this time in some kind of arrangement with the British Labour Party, to which this is all news.

Thanks to the takeover by the old Stickies from Democratic Left, the Irish Labour Party is now very Blairified economically and extremely liberal socially.

Such is the Irish Republic these days, ultraliberal both economically and socially.

Whereas the SDLP is Old Labour Catholic in that way which one also finds in historic centres of Irish immigration to Great Britain.

That is what this is about.

Nothing will come of it.

  1. Spot on. Says it all that the SDLP vote is now more like ancestrally Irish Catholics in Britain than Irish born ex-Catholics in the Republic.

    1. They experienced post-War social democracy. People in the 26 Counties never did.
