My IMF Prediction

That no one will care.

Smiling Ken Clarke and that proven General Election winner, John Major, could not sell the fact of an economic recovery 20 years ago.

Sneering George Osborne and that proven General Election non-winner, David Cameron, stand no chance of doing so today.

It makes no difference whether or not it is true. That has absolutely nothing to do with it.

  1. Now that you've been proven wrong about everything isn't it time for the People's Assembly etc to pack up and go home?

The IMF says our deficit is shrinking faster than ANY IN THE DEVELOPED WORLD.

Can someone clean all the egg off Ed Ball's face please?

  2. The IMF has doubled its growth forecast.

On one side is the IMF.

On the other side is Ed Balls and Owen Jones.

It's enough to bring a tear to the eye.

  3. No, because no one believes it. Or ever will.

You are too young to remember the Major-Clarke years. That happened then; indeed, by 1997 most people were an awful lot more prosperous than they are going to be in 2015.

But they didn't care. The die had been cast years before. The same thing is happening again.

So there'll be tears in your eyes on Election night, I promise you that.
