Gove's Labours Lost

No one could be more critical than I of Thatcher's GCSEs, her worst ever domestic policy, and that is saying quite something. It is to Labour's shame that it never restored O-levels despite having opposed their abolition. But the shame for that abolition itself belongs squarely elsewhere.

However, Rupert Murdoch's Vicar on Earth, the Blair-loving Michael Gove, who had wanted five key Blairite figures in the Cameron Cabinet and who continues to have regular off-the-record meetings with Murdoch, has met an obstacle to his nefarious scheme to withdraw secondary education from every area or community where the mothers do not have the leisure time to deliver it, or whatever he and they think that it is.
