We Will Not Wind Our Necks In

“The tactics used by the police in America, kneeling on George Floyd’s neck, that was learnt from seminars with Israeli secret services.”

That is a well-documented fact. But it is also a breach of the IHRA Definition. Can you see what is the problem here? For retweeting these words of Maxine Peake's in The Independent, Rebecca Long-Bailey, who is Peake's MP, has been sacked as Shadow Education Secretary.

Oh, well, at the next General Election, some of us had already been looking to organise candidates of colour to contest the 20 most marginal Labour seats with the largest BAME populations, and the 20 highest Labour target seats with the largest BAME populations. Against all members of the Shadow Cabinet, a specifically Palestinian candidate now also needs to be fielded.

Has the entire Campaign Group resigned the whip? No, of course not. But what goes around, comes around. Not a single Labour MP, including Long-Bailey, stood with Chris Williamson, who has since been vindicated in court. Not a single Labour MP, including Long-Bailey, stood with Jackie Walker, or with Tony Greenstein, or with Marc Wadsworth. Oh, yes. What goes around, comes around.
