Having had dealings in the past with Ofcom, I am not surprised that it has ruled that UKIP is a major party for the purposes of the European Elections in England and Wales.
Everyone else who is running a full slate in all 10 of those regions ought to demand the same treatment.
But, having had dealings in the past with Ofcom, I wouldn't rate their chances.
In the European elections it IS a major party-it beat Labour, came second and got over two million votes at the last ones.
