IVF

Eighty women who had become pregnant through IVF aborted their embryos last year. What else that cost so much and had such failure rate – frankly, it doesn’t work – would be doled out on the NHS? And now this.

Back in March 2009, even the liberal "Left" media (are there others?) finally realised what the rest of us had been saying for years.

But NaProTech (Natural Procreative Technology) is an ethical, healthy and far more successful alternative to IVF. Unlike IVF, in NaProTech no embryonic children are killed or exposed to harm in the laboratory, and couples' relationships are strengthened.

Yes but it's also (shock, horror) approved by the Catholic Church, and largely provided by Catholics.

It works, is highly cost effective, and makes people happy - but at the price of admitting that the Church is right about this stuff. Even when there is intense pressure to cut costs and do things efficiently, I can't see the civil service which produced the notorious 'list of things for the Pope to do' allowing that!
