The RMT is not affiliated to the Labour Party. It is the Tories who have this week noisily welcomed with open arms a man (indeed, a former Labour MP) who led a party funded by the RMT right up until that party folded in January of this year.

They made a lot of noise about this but nobody seems to have noticed.
The RMT is not affiliated to the Labour Party, and has been funding candidates against it for some time now. It will be doing so again at this Election.
John Prescott resigned from it, having been a member of it or of one of its predecessors since before Bob Crow was born, because of Bob Crow.
But the RMT was funding Forward Wales - endorsed by Tommy Sheridan, and advocating Welsh separatism and Welsh-language supremacism alongside the most Hard Left economic and Politically Correct social policies - right up until that party folded as recently as January.
The only ever Leader of Forward Wales, again right up to that very recent point, was this week welcomed with open arms by the Tories, just as, among several other examples, they welcomed the SWP contingent within the Respect Group on Tower Hamlets Council.
Cameron has made his party the very public vehicle of choice for the sectarian Hard Left.
The pro-life, pro-family, pro-worker and anti-war voice of an economically social democratic, morally and socially conservative patriotism towards the North of England, the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and Christendom. One Nation politics, with an equal emphasis on the One and on the Nation. Conservationist, not environmentalist. Far too conservative to be capitalist, far too left-wing to be liberal.

Have I missed something, or is that a story?
