Julie Walters is to star in some hagiographical portrayal of Mo "Not That She Ever Actually Did Anything" Mowlam. Convicted of failing to declare outside earnings and then lying about it, Mowlam was not even required to apologise by the Standards and Privileges Committee.
But for the same offence, that same Committee savagely suspended from the House Bob Wareing, Campaign Group member, opponent of embryonic stem cell "research", and a truly veteran opponent of the neonservative war agenda going all the way back to Yugoslavia. Wareing now sits as an Independent, the vendetta against him having culminated in his replacement as a candidate by Stephen "All I've Ever Done Is Carry On With James Purnell" Twigg.
