That'll Teach Them

No, of course teachers should not be allowed to have sexual relations with Sixth Formers (those in the Lower Sixth in England being now in compulsory education, lest we forget). But nor should, for example, employers be allowed to have sexual relations with employees aged 16 or 17.

It should be made a criminal offence for any person to commit any sexual act with or upon anyone under 18 who is more than two years younger than himself. The maximum sentence should be twice the number of years difference in age, or life if that difference is more than five years. And, like all offences, it should carry a minimum sentence of one third of the maximum sentence, or 15 years for life.
