No, McCain Is NOT Pro-Life

There are plenty of pro-life (or, at least, anti-abortion) Republican Senators, even if you'd struggle very hard to find one as good as Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, who set out his stall in the course of a very well-received, pro-Obama, anti-McCain speech to his own Democratic Party Convention.

But McCain not only isn't one of them, he has either never even spoken to any of them, or, at the very least, he doesn't think much of any of them. Hence Sarah Palin, whom he had barely met, as his running mate. And even that was only because he had really wanted Joe Lieberman, who, in the mercifully unlikely event of a McCain victory, would be doing the job even if not holding the title.

  1. McCain thinks Roe vs. Wade should be reversed. Obama has promised to sign the Freedom of Choice Act.

Only a fool or a scoundrel would vote for a candidate based on the colour of skin rather than on his position on moral issues.

  2. Only a fool or a scoundrel - in fact, only a fool - believes a word of what the Republicans say on pro-life.
