Rogue States

There is much to admire about Switzerland. But the assisted suicide law there defines a rogue state, crying out to be excluded from, in particular, the medical and wider scientific research community while that law remains in place.

And there is much to admire about Britain. But the enactment of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill here would define a rogue state, crying out to be excluded from, in particular, the medical and wider scientific research community while that law remained in place.

  1. I think there are better reasons to define Britain as a rogue state & indeed few countries in the world not to be so defined if Switzerland is.

Moreover as somebody who thinks the ONLY thing that could stop human progress would be a world government I don't like the idea of any significant part of the world enforcing its isms on any other.
