Turning Away Military Personnel

Deplorable, of course.

So let them turn away, too. Let them turn away from pointless, unwinnable, rightly unpopular, and in at least one case certainly illegal wars.

Let them bring themselves home in such a way that Brown, Blair, Cameron and the rest would only find out when they switched on their televisions and saw the triumphant marching through the cheering, flag-waving crowds. Without a shot's needing to be fired, our rotten and decadent, blood-thirsty but battle-cowardly Political Class would be brought crashing to the ground.

Now that really would be the defence of this Realm.

  1. You mean those murderous stooges of the evil neocon imperialists?

Oh no, they don't want to kill Muslims! Not really!

The point of warriors is to fight wars. Duh!

  2. The point of Armed Forces is to prevent wars by deterring them, and to fight them if anyone nevertheless does start them against us.

It is not to be sent, by those who would not dream of sending themselves or their families, against people who pose no threat whatever to us, and might even be our more natural allies than the alternatives in their won countries, such as those who have taken over Iraq since the removal of Saddam Hussein, and such as either the Communist Party of the Russian Federation or the National Bolsheviks.

I'll be doing a full post soon on how wars are morally and socially disruptive, as well as massively expensive to taxpayers. Everything to do with the Swinging Sixties started during the War. Just ask anyone of that generation.
