The late Alan Milburn popped up on Newsnight last night, still insisting that it was "centrist" to want to flog off health to crooks and education to cranks, as advocated by all three allegedly distinct parties.

Of course, when it comes to crooks and cranks, the Political Class is simply recognising its own.

There is nothing remotely centrist about these people, whose backgrounds and views alike are wildly eccentric in relation to well over ninety per cent of the population.
