A Sorry Sight

"Nick suspects Leanne of falling for Rowan, George is outraged by Glenda's demands, Bethany uncovers credit card fraud in her name, and Toyah is arrested for murder." Oh, it's Coronation Street. I thought for a moment that we were still watching the BBC Debate.

We all know what Nigel Farage meant by "a very unpatriotic Prime Minister". But has any world leader complained of having been denied the company of Rishi Sunak? Was this gaffe staged to avoid talking about policy all day today, due to his not having any, just as nor has the other side? And will Sunak now say sorry both for and to all the veterans on mental health waiting lists or sleeping on the streets?

I would be all for these commemorative events if this country treated veterans well. I am all for them when they are held by the rest of us. But the hypocrisy of politicians makes me ill every Remembrance Sunday, and every time that something like yesterday comes around.

  1. They called Corbyn unpatriotic, now it's Sunak's turn.
