We now have the Remembrance Sunday ceremony at the correct time in Lanchester, a hard-won fight on the part of some of us.
Now we just need all traffic to be redirected along the bypass rather than through the village between 10:45 and 11:30 on the morning of Remembrance Sunday.
That has turned out to be everyone's responsibility and no one's when I have tried to pursue it this year. All year.
But getting the ceremony moved to the right time took me 20 years, yet I did it. If the second part took me another 20 years, then so be it. Who's with me?
Basically a community politician, aren't you?
