The second spike is coming, and it will be sharper than the first. Nobody even pretends to doubt that anymore. The lockdown, such as it was, was imposed too late, and now it is being lifted too early. The Government's outriders are reduced to claiming that there are more cases only because more people are being tested.
Oh, for a Leader of the Opposition. But the entirely avoidable deaths of tens of thousands of proles and darkies is hardly likely to move a former Director of Public Prosecutions. It is no wonder that his party remains consistently behind even a Government as bad as this one. The latest, entirely typical, gap is nine points.
