He is the only man who could have been let back into the party only four years after being expelled for anything, and he was not expelled for just anything. Single most powerful man in Labour? Quite possibly. Single most powerful man in London Labour? You bet. More powerful than everyone else in London Labour put together? Don't bet against it.
