Fifteen Years Late

UKIP is to abandon its pound sign logo, on the grounds that the pound has now been saved.

In the real world, the pound was saved in 1997, when Gordon Brown replaced Ken Clarke as Chancellor of the Exchequer.

He is far too Scots to accept the Garter, but with Thatcher's Order of Merit also about to be forfeited if there is any justice at all, then there is really only one candidate to fill the vacancy thus created.
