While The Thames Turns Yellow

In the East of England, the South East (not London) and the South West, the Conservative Party has lost 68 of the 168 local by-elections that it has defended since the General Election, more than one third of the total. More than half of those have been lost to the Liberal Democrats.

In British politics today, this is the biggest story that you never hear about. Across the Remainer heartlands of the South, watch out for a double figure of Conservative losses to the Lib Dems at the General Election that will inaugurate the next hung Parliament.

Making it all the more important that they are not the only holders of the balance of power. I know for a fact that I am not going to be the only one of our people in the field, but I am the first one already declared.
