Sixth months ago yesterday was the first of what have turned out to have been my postponed trial dates. My trial had been, and perhaps still is, expected to last two days.
Therefore, in the wildly improbable events of my conviction, a sixth month custodial sentence, and the serving of that sentence in full, then I would still have been released today.
