The Dacre story had already been in Private Eye, but we all know that nothing has really happened until it has been on the BBC.
As Lord Rothermere has said, it wasn't the first time that a Prime Minister had tried to get him to sack an Editor, always without success.
David Cameron was the worst Prime Minister of my lifetime (although give his successor time), and look at the competition.
Paul Dacre has gone up in my estimation.
