"Twentieth Century, Not Twenty-First", Indeed

The only people with the power to demand that the media indulge such proclivities these days do not want to look at scantily clad women on the third page of the nation's best-selling daily newspaper.

They want to look at scantily, if at all, clad men.

Within 10 years, and possibly five, they will.

Isn't capitalism marvellous? Isn't it so very, very, very conservative?

  1. I take it you are referring to an answer from one of the panellists (David Davis,Alan Milburn or Norman Baker, I can't remember who) on Friday's 'Any Questions?'

At the time I thought that what we have seen so far of the 21st century makes the 20th (at least the second half) seem a golden age by comparison.

Apart from that, I would have thought the anti-page 3 stance would meet with your approval. You don't really think it is part of a gay conspiracy, do you?
