Neil Fleming has an awful lot to answer for.

Where is the chapter by D Lindsay, the true architect of this One Nation idea?

David Lindsay said...

He is not a Labour Party member, so why would he have been asked?

Reading over several of them this afternoon, though, the influence on friends and correspondents is clear. As they would no doubt tell you, if you asked them. And why not? One writes in order to be read. Clearly, one has been.

Strangely, none of the contributors refer to you by name.

Why is that, I wonder?

Why on earth would they? In at least one case, there is hardly the need. But I, among others, am like the weather or the mood music.

David, I think Anonymous 17.44 is hinting that you may be exaggerating your influence, since nobody except yourself ever mentions it.

David Lindsay said...

Why mention it? I write in order to be read (which it is very obvious from several of these matters that I have been, as in any case I knew), rather than necessarily to be "mentioned".

This really is a very good book, and not a terribly long one. I shall only be putting up further comments about its contents, which are of the utmost interest and importance.
