The Independent interviews Ed Miliband, and, in the same day's editorial, calls him by his brother's name.
This is not an accident. It is part of the never-ending media tantrum about not getting the Labour Leader that they wanted, a hardline neocon hawk and a man who, while running the Downing Street Policy Unit, devised all of the slashing and burning schemes that are now being implemented, plus others too vicious even for a Coalition unrestrained by Gordon Brown and Ed Miliband.
Under Ed Miliband, Labour is consistently ahead in the polls, usually quite comfortably. Fleet Street can report that or not, but they cannot alter it. Look out for what will be, for them, the toe-curling level of media regulation once he becomes Prime Minister and has all these old scores to settle.

It's a pity his brother is the Leader. It stops him being expelled and generally stops the party from the letting rip against him in Lindsayian terms. He richly deserves them.
ReplyDeleteSo was Kinnock Polls are done by people the same people for what ever reason, I do the you Gov one because I get paid to do it.
ReplyDeleteI will be willing to lay a bet labour will not get back in during the 2015 election, because people tend to give the party in power two terms, and Labour has been blamed for the mess we are in.
For the first time in my life, I might almost take a bet like that. Almost.
ReplyDeleteI used to work in this sort of area, too. Quite an eye-opener.
