Sorry about that. Friday afternoon.
What if the EU and its sponsoring forces of global capital ever felt the need to do to Britain something like what they have done to Greece (removed the Prime Minister and replaced him with a former Vice-President of the European Central Bank) and to Italy (removed the Prime Minister and replaced him with a former European Commissioner who was made a Life Senator only two days ago)? Italy, after all, is a member of G8.
So, dear readers: who, when, how, why, and how soon?

Nick Clegg.
ReplyDeleteThere is no need for them to do anything while Cameron is there. Or anyone else who could in practice ever become Leader of the Conservative Party.
ReplyDeleteLord Mandelson.
ReplyDeleteAgain, where is the need?
ReplyDeleteI was being a bit sarky: no need for Mandy, and no way!
ReplyDeleteBut imagine a scenario in which the UK said that in return for treaty reform, the UK would pull out of the CAP, and the 200 mile limit would be reapplied for Fisheries. We wouldn't abandon any other commitments, and would refuse any further extension of majority voting.
The UK's contributions would remain comparable (though smaller) to today's but EU countries dependent on the CAP and CFP and money from Brussels would feel a massive pinch just as the combination of reduced contributions and the increase in income from exports began to boost substantially the UK economy.
Brussels wouldn't like it.
Lord or Lady Kinnock?
