Who Benefits?
Congratulations to George Osborne on having just lost his party the 2015 Election. Means-testing Child Benefit? Never mind the Election; Osborne has lost the plot. Those who are going to lose out are very, very likely to vote. And these days, they cannot protest by voting Lib Dem. Think on.

So, do you think it is reasonable for people who are paying tax and social security payments on wages of two or three hundred pounds a week to contribute towards child benefit payments for people who are earning five to ten times as much? Just curious.
ReplyDeleteYes. Though not nearly so strongly as those in that latter category, practically guaranteed to vote and with only one remaining alternative party to vote for, will and do think it reasonable, and more than reasonable.
