Realms and Territories

As the only Head of more than one - in fact, of fully 16 - member-states addresses the UN General Assembly, note how Americans refer, entirely without self-consciousness, to "the Queen". Neither of the other Queens Regnant in Europe (and I think in the world, although I am open to correction) is thus claimed as America's own. Yet one of them heads the country that founded what is now the city of New York, that gave America everyone from the Roosevelts to Dick Van Dyke, and in which America's first ever embassy was established. While the other heads the country that provided the founders of Milwaukee, Minneapolis and Seattle, and the sculptor of Mount Rushmore.

New York was founded by the Dutch as New Amsterdam. Basic history you ignoramous.

Maybe it should still be called New Amsterdam since you do not like cities changing names. Think of India's largest city for instance.

If Basse Terre can remain being called Basse Terree-----

Your neo-imperialist rantings are so strange----

  2. You gave BDJ too many clues. I bet he can't tell where the other country is. Or spell "ignoramus" correctly.

  3. I was going to let that one go...

But come on, BDJ, which is the third European country with a Queen Regnant?
