Not To Be Passed By On The Other Side

This morning's Gospel was the Good Samaritan. On the road from Jerusalem to Jericho, you can pay to visit the inn at which he put up the man who had fallen among thieves. And people do. They pay up. To visit something mentioned only in a parable, which Jesus Himself never said had actually happened.
