Drug Prevention Education

Peter Hitchens writes:

What is your child’s school saying about drugs? The chances are that teachers will be using material preaching the dangerous message of ‘harm reduction’, which encourages drug use by pretending it’s inevitable. If you want an alternative, which tells the truth about the dangers, ask your school to get hold of an excellent booklet on this subject by Mary Brett, an experienced science teacher who ran a successful anti-drugs programme for years. It is called ‘Drug Prevention Education’ and you – or your child’s school – can order it on the web by visiting here.

  1. Why do some people in the educational field think that drug use is inevitable? They must be the same folks who think pre-marital sex is inevitable as well. Both positions are rather odd, to say the least.
