Almost Heaven?

Will Governor Joe Manchin appoint himself to serve the rest of Robert Byrd's term? Or will he order, contest and win a Special Election, with an interim appointment until then? Either way, here's hoping for a filibuster-breaking Democrat who is a pro-life Catholic, who is a member of the NRA, who is a strong supporter of coal, and who is wanted for the job by the AFL-CIO.
