Finest Hour?

Ann Pettifor now wants to be the Labour candidate for North West Durham. Once upon a time, she was a paid adviser to Ken Livingstone, then Leader of the GLC, and to Frances Morrell, who died recently, who was in those days Leader of ILEA, and whose own day job was as political adviser to Tony Benn.

A long time ago?

Well, Redmond O'Neill, key Livingstone staff member and head of Socialist Action (which Alistair Darling's International Marxist Group became when it decided to infiltrate the Labour Party), died in October 2009. Notice of his funeral appeared here.

Under which, a comment was posted by one Ann Pettifor, linking to her organisation:

"Like the site….and the writing…mourning Redmond.

Surprised that Andrew Murray’s obit comes quite close to capturing the man’s spirit….surprised because worked with Redmond to build the abortive alliance with the
Morning Star….’twas not their finest hour."

Or yours, Ann. Or yours...

Meanwhile, I trust that the most prominent pro-life activist among this constituency's paid politicians is backing the good Catholic, and local, candidate, rather than his union's? Anything less would hardly be his finest hour, either.

  1. And backing you if she doesn't get it, naturally?

Honestly, Mr L, anyone would think that you had written this shortlist yourself.
