Nuts

Forced out is a woman who came up through local community activism via local government, seems rather unlikely to be mistaken for a member of any Primrose Hill set, and recently made a very John Smith-like speech defending a nurse who had offered to pray for a patient while denouncing those councils which refused to fly the Union Flag.

But kept in is a man who went to public school, Oxford and the Blair children's bedrooms before persecuting the poor, sick and disabled while charging the taxpayer four hundred pounds per month for food, since apparently neither his ministerial nor his parliamentary salary is paid in order to feed him.

Funny, that.

  1. Hazel Blears would no doubt make an excellent local government councillor in Salford.
I can see her as Vice Chair of Housing Committee or arranging the twinning of Salford with a like minded place...Beirut or Sarajevo perhaps.
But as Secretary of State for something called the Community (or the plural version) she was grossly over promoted.
And of course a Labour Minister even having one (never mind two) properties for which Capital Gains might be due is downright obscene.
