Defending One Nation

I was going to write about Nick Clegg's extraordinary performance last night. But then I realised that of course it is not news that a Lib Dem is pompous, precious, po-faced, and equally unconcerned with jobs and with national security, with the One and the Nation in One Nation.

Good luck to the Government in legislating to give the Attorney General, accountable to Parliament, the power to halt the investigation or prosecution of a foreign national in the interests of national security. But only if it also legislates to halt such actions in the interests of British jobs. I say again, One Nation politics, with an equal emphasis on the One and on the Nation.

And parliamentary democracy, not rule by unelected, practically irremovable, and wildly unrepresentative judges.
