Uncle Tom

I remember Tom Hamilton's being congratulated by George Galloway on having made "the speech of the night". On another occasion, I remember Tom's telling an audience that the ideology of the State of Israel was "Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer". In October 2001, he told me that the newspaper headlines on 12th September should have been "We Are All Palestinians Now". But this is the age of Assaf Kaplan, and at 44 time is not exactly on Tom's side.

Therefore, he has to pretend not to know why, or even that, it is absolutely fundamental to the Left to pass the litmus test of one's attitude to the specific phenomenon of white violence, as such, against people of colour, as such, within the struggle against a capitalist order that was founded both on the slave trade and on the enclosure that that trade had financed. If never wanting a seat this much means that I never really wanted it enough, then fine.
