Time was when the Chancellor of the Exchequer was expected to resign if the slightest detail of the Budget were leaked in advance.
But now we already know that both the furlough scheme, and the increase in Universal Credit, are going to be extended.
Meaning that there is no longer even the pretence, if there ever really was, that, "It'll all be over by the summer."
