Enraging Any Decent Person

Robert Jenrick gave his daughter the middle name Thatcher. Not Margaret. Thatcher. As an unsuccessful candidate for Leader of the Conservative Party, he claimed to have, "met pensioners who had illegal migrants in their bedrooms when they woke up in the morning."

Jenrick wants points of entry to the United Kingdom to display the flag of a foreign state, and which within living memory was the flag of the anti-British inventors of modern terrorism. A state, moreover, that armed Argentina during the Falklands War, and on which his beloved Margaret Thatcher imposed an arms embargo.

All in all, Jenrick is just not a serious person, although he also has a deeply sinister side, ordering the painting over of cartoons in an asylum seekers' reception centre lest refugee children feel too happy, and associating with Richard Desmond on the Isle of Dogs in such a way that even Boris Johnson felt obliged to sack him. Johnson, by the way, is kite-flying for an attempted comeback as Mayor of London.

Having again prejudiced an ongoing criminal case, it is only because Jenrick is a joke that he has not been struck off as a solicitor and quite possibly found in contempt of court, the crime for which Stephen Yaxley-Lennon was recently pleasuring His Majesty.

  1. The old Queen never went to Israel and that was the reason why.

    1. Indeed. She went almost everywhere, but never there. She went to Germany as early as 1965. She went to Japan in 1975, meaning that Hirohito was her host, as he had hosted her in 1971. She went to Ireland in 2011. But she never went to Israel. As you say, that was the reason why.
