Operational Support?

The Prime Minister is the First Lord of the Treasury, so his Chief Secretary is not outside that. In Darren Jones, James Murray and Minouche Shafik, Rachel Reeves needs three babysitters. But Keir Starmer is too weak to sack her. Jones is opposed to ending arms sales to Israel, and he has refused to rule out the "operational support" that is in fact being given every night to the genocide of Gaza, while Shafik, as President of Columbia University, used the NYPD to clear by physical force the peaceful protests against that genocide.

And Tim Allan, of the unmentionable Portland Communications, made a personal donation of £20,000, which is small change in such people's world, to Change UK. You may have forgotten about that, but one of its MPs is now a Labour Peer. Based on her previous service to Euan Blair, Starmer should ask his Toby to decide between her performance and Lord Alli's as to which of them should be made a Minister.

  1. Is being made a Minister conditional on clearing the Berger Bar?
