Reform UK already controls Durham County Council with a huge majority, while the Liberal Democrats are the Official Opposition. Polling points to national replication of that result. Labour and the Conservatives are each on 16 per cent. "Any other Leader would be 20 points ahead"? Keir Starmer cannot manage 20 points at all.
But he is the Prime Minister. Andrew Gwynne has ruled out standing down for Andy Burnham. He will be getting the whip back, then. With promotion to follow after a decent interval. There is not going to be a General Election until 2029. Until then, any change of Prime Minister would be the choice of this Parliamentary Labour Party.
Labour and the Tories combined on only 32%. Bloody hell.
ReplyDeleteIt is still a long time until the Election, but yes.
