Saint Carlo Acutis was born in 1991. In death as in life, he spreads to his own generation, and now also to the next one, the message of daily Mass and weekly Confession, of Eucharistic Adoration and Eucharistic miracles. People born in the twenty-first century venerate his relics.
Yet Saint Carlo appears never to have attended the pre-Conciliar liturgy, which would in any case have been Ambrosian in Milan and very different from what was always the far from universal Tridentine Rite. His is the Spirit of Vatican II, while the Boom goes bust.
Ora pro nobis.
The best bishop we'll never have.
ReplyDeleteYes, he very well may have been.
