I first told you on 13 November 2023 that Tony Blair was being lined up to be Viceroy of Gaza. Lovers of Donald Trump, what do you make of his description of Blair as a "good man, very good man", so good that this appointment has now been made?
See also Trump's closeness to Keir Starmer, despite ritual media insistence that there are significant policy differences between them. Like what, exactly? Even Starmer's recognition of Palestine has now turned out all right for both of them, has it not?
British fans of Trump are deluded if they curse Blair and revile Starmer, while supporters of Starmer and Blair are if anything even worse if they despise Trump, who has so far named only himself and Blair to his Gaza "Board of Peace".
When Starmer sacked Peter Mandelson, then Trump said that he did not know him. But none of that bothers Blair. Sleep well.
"despite ritual media insistence that there are significant policy differences between them. Like what, exactly? "
ReplyDeleteWhat a preposterous question. Keir Starmer is a high-tax, pro-immigration, politically-correct net zero fanatic. While Donald Trump is the most pro fossil fuel, anti-immigration and anti-woke leader in the West and has mounted sweeping tax cuts. He despises our restrictions on free speech such as the Online Safety Act (even if he leaves his deputy JD Vance to say it).
Starmer's been very effective at charming Trump on Britain's behalf (we depend utterly on the US and therefore any patriot salutes his effort) but nobody is under any illusions that they are politically similar.
Before they won power, David Lammy, Peter Mandelson and the rest were all on record as calling Donald Trump racist, sexist and all the things that Starmer's friend Sadiq Khan called him last week.
Bless.
DeleteBlair and Bush all over again.
ReplyDeleteAnd they are still saying how great was and is their personal and political affinity.
DeleteSpot on. This annoys the hell out of Trumpies and Blair/Starmerites alike.
ReplyDeleteThank you. And who could wish for more than that?
