There is enough evidence against Hunter Biden for the Republicans to impeach his father when they took back control of both Houses of Congress, but only if they took a Trump Republican rather than a Bush Republican approach to Ukraine. By November, never mind January, everyone will be pretending always to have held such a view, anyway.
Here in Britain, we have no reason to care which of the Wagner Group and the Azov Battalion won a war, but every reason to insist on a deal with whichever of them it was, so that we neither starved, nor shivered to death in the dark, while we sought to rectify the many decades of negligence during which all three parties had wholly avoidably placed us in any such danger.
Unless the settlement included denazification, with which Russia could also do, then watch out for the Azov Battalion and the rest of them now that Ukraine was the global brand that its size, population, and economic importance had always warranted. Here is my old friend Jonah Fisher, back in the days when the BBC used to tell the truth about such matters. If they were allowed to continue to exist, then these people would very soon be coming to coups and civil wars all over the world, and we would be expected, not merely to cheer them on, but to pay them, as we are already doing in Ukraine.
"But Zelensky is Jewish" would properly elicit a response of "So what?" even if one were unaware that the huge majority of the Soviet Union's 27 million victims of the Nazis were not Jewish. That is just not what Russians, and most post-Soviet people in general, remember the Great Patriotic War as having been about. Such are the alliances on which Zelensky is happy to depend, that he is clearly typical in that regard.
