Until today, it was perfectly legal to give money to the Wagner Group. But remember, the antiwar movement are the Putin stooges. The line seems to be that the Wagner Group are "mercenaries" and what have you, and while that is not in itself false, it skirts around the real point.
We rightly ban any kind of support for that, so what about Svoboda, Pravy Sektor, National Corps, C14, the Azov Battalion, the Aidar Battalion, the Donbas Battalion, the Dnipro-1 Battalion, the Dnipro-2 Battalion, and all the rest of them?
Yet instead, Ben Wallace had been recorded telling someone whom he thought was the Ukrainian Prime Minister that he would support Ukraine's acquisition of nuclear weapons. And Petro Poroshenko was on this evening's Channel 4 News in front of an armoured car with two Iron Crosses on it, but no one said a word.
Nor did they last night when he appeared in front of it on German television and said that Russian cruise missiles had hit a NATO training centre inside Ukraine. They had hit a what?
Ukraine may not be in Nato but Nato is in Ukraine.
