The Unexamined Life?

Neither Boris Johnson nor Gavin Williamson announced this. Pure cowardice.

Some of us remember the people who would say, "It was during the War." We knew not to ask any further. "It was in 2020" will have the same effect for many decades to come.

It will take a few years, although not very many, but before long the teacher will give you a grade based on your coursework, and perhaps based an exam marked in house by the Head of Department.

The Headteacher will sign it off. Perhaps one quarter of each cohort will be moderated at random, or at least officially at random. And that will be that.  All under the party that had replaced O-levels with GCSEs in the first place.

And all to the detriment of working-class pupils, of black pupils, and of male pupils, the performance of all of whom Keir Starmer's base of teachers consistently under-predicts.
