The BBC calls the gun-toting 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse a "man".
It must think that he is black.
Political prisoner, activist, journalist, hymn-writer, emerging thinktanker, aspiring novelist, "tribal elder", 2019 parliamentary candidate for North West Durham, Shadow Leader of the Opposition, "Speedboat", "The Cockroach", eagerly awaiting the second (or possibly third) attempt to murder me.
Rittenhouse is not from Wisconsin, he's from Illinois. He went to Kenosha with a rifle to kill people, and in fact, shot and killed two protestors while injuring a third. Afterward, he walked right past police officers. He wasn’t shot, nor was he beaten or even arrested by local law enforcement. Instead, he was allowed to flee the scene all the way home to Illinois before turning himself in there.
ReplyDeleteThis is what a domestic terrorist looks like, and more importantly, this is what the road to fascism looks like. This is where we are.
Per Wisconsin law, this 17-year-old is not legally permitted to possess this weapon, yet was also permitted to commit a Class A misdemeanor in front of police officers, and went undeterred by law enforcement prior committing a double homicide. See, Wis. Stat. § 948.60(2)(a). Still, he wasn’t shot, beaten or even questioned by the police.
These are not good times.
