Never Mind The Darrochs?

Even before the resignation of Sir Kim Darroch, last night should have marked the end of Boris Johnson's candidacy for, in effect, the office of Prime Minister.

Johnson failed to defend Sir Kim, and he failed to rule out proroguing Parliament, Dominic Grieves's amendment to block which passed by one vote in Johnson's absence yesterday.

Johnson's should have been jeered off the stage, jeered out of the building, jeered out of the race, and perhaps even jeered out of politics altogether.

Instead, though, he is going to win.
