Don't Martyr The Mogg

Jacob Rees-Mogg's record of voting against a statutory requirement that homes be for for human habitation, while himself a landlord (although this would apply anyway), is reason enough to want to keep him out of office, and reason enough to want to drive him out of Parliament at the ballot box. Do not be distracted. And certainly do not rush to canonise him.

He's a nasty politician who dresses it up behind a persona, and who now seems to be trying to use the Catholic thing as well. Don't let him get away with it. There hasn't been a parliamentary vote on abortion in a generation, so we have no way of testing his view. Even Peter Hitchens says that the debate on homosexuality is over. But look at Rees-Mogg's record on the things that ever do come up. It is not very nice.
