The Purple Tide Goes Out

I always said that UKIP would never survive a General Election campaign.

It now advocates a Conservative vote almost everywhere, really everywhere apart from two seats in Kent and one in Essex.

It is not going to win either of those seats in Kent.

When the voters of that seat in Essex insurgently return the same MP for the fourth time, then he will either lead UKIP or leave it.

Neither of the party's MPs attended its manifesto launch.

How long into the Election Night coverage will it be before the UKIP representative is asked to leave, due to having no more reason to be there than Caroline Lucas, or George Galloway, or Sylvia Hermon, or possibly Naomi Long?
