Andy Burnham, who is practically certain to become Labour
Leader, abstained on adoption by same-sex couples, and voted against IVF for
them.
Tim Farron abstained on that latter vote and at Third Reading of same-sex marriage. Norman Lamb also did not vote for that Third Reading. Meaning that no one who did vote for it is going to become the Lib Dem Leader, no matter what.
And why not? Probably half of Conservative Party members have joined specifically because of David Cameron, with that number increasing every day. People who want a party led by an LGBT fundamentalist, and with hardly anyone else in it, can always vote Tory.
If they don't already, then why not? After all, they cannot possibly imagine that either the Lib Dems or, especially, Labour "used to be like that". When, exactly?
