Cross Dressing Down

We all know what happens to English comedians when they play Glasgow.

But seriously, lads, come on. A bit of rough heckling?

Then again, Jim Murphy had only ever been a student politician when he entered Parliament.

And Eddie Izzard did not exactly come up through the workingmen's clubs.

    1. I have experienced worse myself.

Izzard might not have done, since he is a celebrity activist rather than an activist activist, although I might be doing him a disservice.

But Murphy? The West of Scotland and the old NUS?

  2. Fair enough, and granted Murphy is useless- but I don't think a comparison between that element of the SNP's support, and the kind of people that destroyed Yugoslavia, is out of place. Complaining about "Red Tories" on the one hand and yet oblivious to the links between the party they support and Murdoch, RBS, Stagecoach etc- for a large part of the SNP's grassroots support it really does appear to be about nothing more than "away bah tae England".
